A hair transplant is not always the first or best response to hair loss.
Before discussing graft numbers or techniques, it is important to understand what is happening to the hair that is already present.
Depending on the patient, this can involve assessing:
- the pattern and progression of hair loss;
- the quality of the donor area;
- existing miniaturization;
- the condition of native hair;
- age and family history;
- previous procedures;
- and the patient’s long-term objectives.
The purpose of the consultation is therefore not simply to decide how many grafts can be transplanted.
It is to determine what strategy makes sense now and what should remain possible later.

Every Regenae transplant journey begins with medical assessment.
The doctor evaluates the indication, discusses the patient’s objectives and establishes the medical and aesthetic strategy.

The procedure is then carried out by a specialized medical team trained in hair transplantation and following the Regenae protocol.

A hairline must suit the face, but it must also remain coherent if native hair continues to thin.
Height, shape, density and the use of donor resources therefore need to be considered together.

Maximum graft count is not the same thing as maximum aesthetic impact.
The distribution of grafts, the characteristics of the patient’s hair and the density allocated to each area are central to the final visual result.

Hair loss may continue after a transplant.
A good plan should therefore take into account the potential evolution of native hair and the possibility that further treatment may be needed in the future.
Technique
Sapphire FUE as our reference transplant approach
For the majority of our hair transplant procedures, Regenae uses Sapphire FUE.
The method allows the recipient sites to be prepared according to a pre-defined architecture, taking into account:
- density;
- distribution;
- hair direction;
- angulation;
- and the transition between the hairline and the areas behind it.
At Regenae, this approach is particularly useful for reconstructing frontal areas, treating larger recipient zones and creating dense, structured coverage.
The value does not come from the word “Sapphire” alone.
It comes from the way the recipient area is planned and how that plan is adapted to the individual patient.
